Immediate need for part-time, online instructors for Dissertation Chair Essential job duties, responsibilities & expectations: Manage dissertation committee members and methodologists Provide oversight to the doctoral learner and the required dissertation processes and procedures Support processes and procedures for providing quality dissertations Facilitate the IRB process supporting doctoral learner research Maintain records and updates as required by the college for each learner, including the dissertation management system Qualifications: Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution At least three years of post-doctorate experience in higher education Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring doctoral students Demonstrated research design and methodology experience Publication record of at least three non-dissertation articles in peer-reviewed journals Academic conference presentation experience desired Experience working in a virtual team environment desired Grand Canyon University provides a quality education from the context of our Christian heritage for both traditional students as well as working professionals. Online Adjunct Instructor, Business Strategy (Graduate Level)

Brief Summary:     The School of Management is accepting applications for an online adjunct faculty member in Strategy to begin January 2015.

Duties and Responsibilities:    Teaching and grading Business Strategy at the graduate level in the online MBA program.

Qualifications:     Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in Management and prior experience teaching Management Strategy (a.k.a., Business Policy, Capstone) online in an MBA program.  Experience in Sakai online learning platform is desired.

Adjunct Faculty Northcentral School of Business and Technology

NCU is currently seeking Adjunct Faculty to join our School of Business and Technology Management.  

The primary responsibility of adjunct (part-time) faculty is to teach assigned courses in their discipline; that is, to engage students, offer excellent feedback, and inspire and guide students to achieve at their highest academic level. All faculty demonstrate a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in curricular, instructional, and professional development and to the development of Northcentral’s teaching and learning community. Faculty work closely with their School Dean, administrators, other faculty, and the Center for Academic Excellence.

Essential Job Functions, Teaching

• Successfully complete initial and ongoing faculty development activities
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant Program Learning Outcomes
• Demonstrate knowledge of content of all courses taught
• Maintain a load of assigned students
• Follow Northcentral policy and procedures
• Assess student learning outcomes competency
• Engage in one or more professional development activities annually, as required by School Dean
• Exercise academic freedom in covering course content and learning outcomes, in accordance with University policy, procedures, and curricula.
