Interesting discussion on UAP. People used to laugh but now its becoming increasingly serious science. We should be open to all opportunities and options. We are still finding new species on our planet and don't have much knowledge of other planets. So its possible. Many different religions and philosophies believe there are other "earths" out there that can sustain life. Our telescopes have found some good prospects for livable planets. While we can't say alien life is a fact it is a high likelihood (Someone else can say perhaps its a fact but we havn't see it.).
Just as a side note. Often we don't see things until we are forced to see them. Then once we see them we can't unsee them. So as soon as we have confirmation of existence it changes all the ways in which we view each other, how we treate different races and religions, how we view other nations. Some differences should get much smaller and of course some will exploit new knowledge for gain.
A question, if we add a new anchor point to our mental filters what does that do to the other factors? How does that impact our choices and outcomes? Would we continue to normalize and protect/reward hate or would it seem to be a debunked philosophy for the most ignorate and corrupt of souls? How would commerce and science be impacted?
While the knowledge seems a little silly it certainly is going to have some type of impact on how we interact knowing that perhaps we are not the most evolved species (maybe we are more evolved but we don't have a good benchmark. It would seem that some behaviors we have seen in life, news, environment, etc. would indicate more evolving would help.)
