State of Emergency Declared in Hawaii Amid Wildfires

These environmental disturbances emerging at various places has a much bigger toll then I think we realize. When risks rise to both safety and our economy people are experiencing 2x the burden. If such severe weather continues to be an emerging pattern we will need stronger emergency planning for large scale evaluations, power outages, fast moving fires, flooding, etc.

The damage is going to be substantial. Its going to take some time to figure it all out. We will have to wait until officials can assess the situation and the economists can ballpark the economic costs. This is a sad event and I suspect its going to leave a mark for a while on tourism and other activities. Hopefully I am wrong. :(
