It still confuses me that so many people need and want change but foot dragging and "fingers in ears" continue. People are people and their color, creed, and many other superficial issues make no real difference in who they are. Their character does...yes....but that is it! Growth oriented economic systems based in capitalistic principles says that those who work hard are given opportunities to move up. There is no "wet blanket" of racism or bigotry to navigate around. Despite this there is still some resistance to change, investigating legitimate concerns of misconduct and changing the metrics so good officers move up the ranks. There are solutions and plans out there that would accomplish this.
Change, peace, love and reconciliation is needed now.
The people are speaking loud and clear......
