The Romantic Old World Charm of Asti Ristoranti

Asti Ristoranti is a historic Italian restaurant with old world charm. From the elegant tablecloths, brick walls, and murals one can feel like they are dining in style. Located on a busy street in the Gaslamp district there is plenty of foot traffic. One can dine either on the patio or inside allowing for two different environments.  It may be just a touch loud on the patio during weekend evenings.

Dinner menus include items such as crab cakes for $16 all the way to higher end items such as Gamberoni e Capesante (Grilled jumbo shrimp and large scallops with fresh herbs, extra virgin olive oil, and lemon juice) for $30. Lunch ranges from pizza for $12 to Zuppa di Pesce del Golfo (Cioppino style Mediterranean seafood, tiger shrimp, fresh fish, jumbo scallops, mussels and clams in a tomato broth) for $26. The menu has a wide selection.

This is a fine dining restaurant and one should expect the quality of service that comes with the price. Particularly nice are the tables located near the windows. With wood trim, pictures of visitors on the wall, and the old style window panes it is a nice place to sit. They offer a bar with a large selection of beverages. Eat during the week, weekends, or for special occasions. Parking is limited in the area but valet is available.
